Terms & Conditions
By booking and attending a session at Drift & Ember, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings & Sessions
- All sessions at Drift & Ember are private and pre-booked.
- Each booking provides exclusive use of the facilities for up to four (4) guests.
- Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
- Guests must arrive on time and vacate the facilities within their allocated 55-minute slot.
- Late arrivals will not be granted additional time.
- Exceeding session time is not permitted as it affects subsequent bookings.
2. Payments
- Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Prices are listed in GBP and are subject to change without notice.
- Drift & Ember reserves the right to amend pricing, promotions, and availability at any time.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- Rescheduled sessions must be used within 30 days.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session, or failure to attend (no-shows), are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- In exceptional circumstances, Drift & Ember may, at its discretion, offer a goodwill adjustment.
4. Health, Safety & Medical Disclaimer
- Use of the sauna and plunge pools is entirely at your own risk.
- Guests are strongly advised to consult a GP before use, particularly if pregnant or if they have any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns.
- By booking, you confirm that you and your group are fit to participate, understand the risks associated with hot and cold exposure, and accept full responsibility for your participation.
- Drift & Ember accepts no liability for injury, illness, or adverse reactions arising from use of the facilities, except where required by law.
5. Age Restrictions
- Guests under 16 years of age are not permitted.
- Guests aged 16–17 must be accompanied by an adult (maximum ratio: two 16+ guests per one adult).
6. Conduct & Behaviour
- Drift & Ember is a calm, respectful wellness environment.
- Guests must follow all house rules, safety signage, and staff instructions at all times.
- Any disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.
- Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry.
7. Use of Facilities
- Sauna and plunge use must follow displayed safety guidance.
- Sauna use is recommended at 5–15 minutes, with a maximum of 20 minutes per session.
- Plunge pool use is recommended at 1–3 minutes, with a maximum of 5 minutes per session.
- Guests must exit immediately if feeling dizzy, unwell, or uncomfortable.
- Personal lotions, oils, or products must not be used in the sauna or plunge pools.
8. Personal Belongings
- Drift & Ember accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
- Guests are advised to leave valuables at home.
9. Property & Facilities
- Guests must take reasonable care of the facilities.
- Any damage caused by guests may be charged to the booking holder.
10. Photography & Privacy
- Photography and video recording are permitted only within private sessions and must respect the privacy of others.
- Drift & Ember may take photographs or videos for marketing purposes only with prior consent.
11. Cancellations by Drift & Ember
- Drift & Ember reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, maintenance, or safety concerns.
- In such cases, guests will be offered a reschedule or credit.
12. Liability
- Drift & Ember shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
- Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability where it cannot be excluded by law.
13. Amendments
- Drift & Ember reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- The version in force at the time of booking will apply.
14. Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
15. GDPR & Privacy Policy
15.1 Data Collection
Drift & Ember collects and processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We may collect the following information:
- Name
- Contact details (email address, phone number)
- Booking and payment information
- Health declarations provided voluntarily for safety purposes
- Communication records relating to enquiries or bookings
15.2 Use of Personal Data
Personal data is collected and used solely for the purposes of:
- Managing bookings and payments
- Communicating with guests regarding appointments or services
- Ensuring health, safety, and operational compliance
- Improving our services and customer experience
- Legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations
We will not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
15.3 Lawful Basis for Processing
We process personal data under the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract (to deliver booked services)

In the unlikely event of a data breach, Drift & Ember will take immediate steps to minimise impact and will report the breach to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) where legally required.
15.9 Privacy Policy Updates
Drift & Ember reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time.
